Boot room
This project was a pair of cupboards and bench seat with coat rack, for a small entrance hall.
Completely bespoke, starting with Oak effect internal cabinetry this made an effective contrast between the oak and facia colour. A simple installation, with the only exception being the room was an extension on the customers house with the electric meter cupboard in the wall. This was incorporated into the hanging space with a simple door within the back allowing neat and safe access to the meter. The second unit was for shoes with slatted Oak shelving throughout.
I made the doors from Mdf for stability with tulipwood frames, shelves and details all hand painted in house at the workshop. Sprayed to match Farrow and Ball Stifkey blue. I am always apprehensive painting darker colours as they can be a little less forgiving, I however managed to achieve a great finish. An Oiled oak bench top and lacquered dovetailed Oak drawer boxes complete the construction. The bespoke look continued by the customer with hand forged ironmongery, handles and coat hooks.
Another lovely project to have made and supplied.
