The Timber frame Farmhouse

This Farmhouse had a fantastic space for a kitchen however some unfortunately placed beams, (Fortunate in the fact they held the roof up though!) uneven floors, low ceilings and limited positioning for appliances. This all made for a tricky design.

The main kitchen is in a Shaker style door with a moulded detail around the panel, in a Porcelain paint choice around the perimeter and a Sage green feature island. A few bespoke cabinets were required but made to work with standard door offerings. To continue the feature island theme a character Oak effect worktop was used around the perimeter, this on its own included some very interesting scribes to walls and around beams. This offered a contrast to the Minerva Ice Blue used on the island, the best product to fabricate a seamless join around the beam running through the centre of the island.

This all looked great and the install went well. I always feel I have succeeded in the brief if a project looks like it has always been there and not out of place, improving the aesthetics of the existing room whilst offering everything the customer asks.

Allan has just finished installing our new kitchen. It was a long awaited dream, and he and Snowy made it into a reality that was beyond our expectations. Craftsmanship and attention to detail are phrases found constantly in his reviews and we are able to endorse that yet again. We are beyond thrilled with our new kitchen and cannot recommend Allan highly enough. If you have a project involving wood, Allan is the professional you’re looking for. Give him a ring, you won’t be disappointed
